This o-ring is supplied in black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 19.1 mm (0.752 in), a cross section of 1.6 mm (0.063 in), and an outside diameter of 22.3 mm (0.88 in), catalogued under part number E1.6X19.1. It seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

EPDM (EPR) is specified here for outstanding weather, ozone and sunlight resistance, excellent hot water and steam resistance. The compound resists brake fluid, ketones, and water and steam. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C).

Typical settings include brake and phosphate ester systems, potable water applications, and HVAC and refrigeration.
