-218 BLACK EPDM 70D O-RING

Ordered as E70218, this is an AS568-218 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 1.234 in (31.34 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.512 in (38.4 mm). The o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

Expect good resistance to brake fluid, water and steam, and dilute acids and alkalis. EPDM (EPR) delivers very good flexibility at low temperature, strong performance in outdoor and exposed installations. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). It is not the right choice where mineral oil-based lubricants or aromatic hydrocarbons are present.

Typical settings include HVAC and refrigeration, outdoor equipment, and potable water applications.
