Part number E70NSF219 is an AS568-219 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 1.296 in (32.92 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.574 in (39.98 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

EPDM (EPR) is specified for very good flexibility at low temperature, outstanding weather, ozone and sunlight resistance. This material stands up to dilute acids and alkalis, brake fluid, and ozone, UV and weathering. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C) in continuous service. Applications involving petroleum oils and fuels or mineral oil-based lubricants call for a different compound.
