This o-ring is supplied in black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A measuring an inside diameter of 219.3 mm (8.634 in), a cross section of 5.7 mm (0.224 in), and an outside diameter of 230.7 mm (9.08 in), catalogued under part number E5.7X219.3. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies. This item is further identified as Metric O-RING, JIS G220.

The compound resists phosphate ester hydraulic fluids, ozone, UV and weathering, and water and steam. That behavior comes from the compound itself: EPDM (EPR) is widely chosen for excellent hot water and steam resistance, good electrical insulating characteristics. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where petroleum oils and fuels or mineral oil-based lubricants are present.
