-224 BLACK EPDM 70D O-RING

E70224 is an AS568-224 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 1.734 in (44.04 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.012 in (51.1 mm). In service, this o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

EPDM (EPR) is specified here for very good flexibility at low temperature and good electrical insulating characteristics. This material stands up to brake fluid, phosphate ester hydraulic fluids, and ozone, UV and weathering. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). It should not be specified for service in aromatic hydrocarbons or petroleum oils and fuels.

Typical settings include brake and phosphate ester systems, outdoor equipment, and water and steam systems.
