This o-ring is supplied in AS568-229 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 2.359 in (59.92 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.637 in (66.98 mm), catalogued under part number E70NSF229. It provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

This material stands up to ozone, UV and weathering, water and steam, and phosphate ester hydraulic fluids. EPDM (EPR) is known for excellent hot water and steam resistance, very good flexibility at low temperature. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C) in continuous service. It should not be specified for service in petroleum oils and fuels or aromatic hydrocarbons.
