This o-ring is supplied in AS568-230 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A with an inside diameter of 2.484 in (63.09 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.762 in (70.15 mm), catalogued under part number E70230. It compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

This material stands up to ozone, UV and weathering, brake fluid, and dilute acids and alkalis. That behavior comes from the compound itself: EPDM (EPR) is valued for outstanding weather, ozone and sunlight resistance, strong performance in outdoor and exposed installations. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where aromatic hydrocarbons or mineral oil-based lubricants are present.
