Ordered as E2.5X233, this is a black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 233 mm (9.173 in), a cross section of 2.5 mm (0.098 in), and an outside diameter of 238 mm (9.37 in). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

This material stands up to brake fluid, dilute acids and alkalis, and ozone, UV and weathering. EPDM (EPR) delivers good electrical insulating characteristics, strong performance in outdoor and exposed installations. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). It is not the right choice where aromatic hydrocarbons or mineral oil-based lubricants are present.
