-234 BLACK EPDM 70D O-RING

Ordered as E70234, this is an AS568-234 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 2.984 in (75.79 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.262 in (82.85 mm). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

EPDM (EPR) is valued for outstanding weather, ozone and sunlight resistance, excellent hot water and steam resistance. Expect good resistance to ozone, UV and weathering, phosphate ester hydraulic fluids, and dilute acids and alkalis. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). It should not be specified for service in aromatic hydrocarbons or mineral oil-based lubricants.

Typical settings include brake and phosphate ester systems, HVAC and refrigeration, and water and steam systems.
