The o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

The material holds up against phosphate ester hydraulic fluids, water and steam, and dilute acids and alkalis. EPDM (EPR) delivers good electrical insulating characteristics and very good flexibility at low temperature. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 300°F (148.9°C).
