E70248 is an AS568-248 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 4.734 in (120.24 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.012 in (127.3 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

EPDM (EPR) delivers strong performance in outdoor and exposed installations, very good flexibility at low temperature. The compound resists phosphate ester hydraulic fluids, ozone, UV and weathering, and brake fluid. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where aromatic hydrocarbons or mineral oil-based lubricants are present.
