E70NSF248 is an AS568-248 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 4.734 in (120.24 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.012 in (127.3 mm). In service, this o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

EPDM (EPR) delivers strong performance in outdoor and exposed installations, excellent hot water and steam resistance. It resists phosphate ester hydraulic fluids, dilute acids and alkalis, and ozone, UV and weathering. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 300°F (148.9°C). Exposure to mineral oil-based lubricants or aromatic hydrocarbons will shorten service life.
