Ordered as E70262, this is an AS568-262 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 6.984 in (177.39 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 7.262 in (184.45 mm). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

It resists brake fluid, dilute acids and alkalis, and phosphate ester hydraulic fluids. EPDM (EPR) delivers very good flexibility at low temperature, excellent hot water and steam resistance. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). Applications involving petroleum oils and fuels or mineral oil-based lubricants call for a different compound.
