E70265 is an AS568-265 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 7.734 in (196.44 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 8.012 in (203.5 mm). In service, this o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

The material holds up against water and steam, dilute acids and alkalis, and phosphate ester hydraulic fluids. That behavior comes from the compound itself: EPDM (EPR) delivers good electrical insulating characteristics, outstanding weather, ozone and sunlight resistance. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). It should not be specified for service in aromatic hydrocarbons or petroleum oils and fuels.
