It resists ozone, UV and weathering, ketones, and brake fluid. That behavior comes from the compound itself: EPDM (EPR) is known for outstanding weather, ozone and sunlight resistance, excellent hot water and steam resistance. The material carries a published service range of -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C).

This o-ring meets FDA requirements for food contact, carries NSF listing, and is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. It sees regular use in water and steam systems, potable water applications, and brake and phosphate ester systems.
