E70NSF340 is an AS568-340 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 3.35 in (85.09 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.77 in (95.76 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, EPDM (EPR) is specified for very good flexibility at low temperature, strong performance in outdoor and exposed installations. Expect good resistance to dilute acids and alkalis, ketones, and ozone, UV and weathering. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C) in continuous service. Exposure to aromatic hydrocarbons or petroleum oils and fuels will shorten service life.

This o-ring meets FDA requirements for food contact, carries NSF listing, and is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. You will find this material specified across potable water applications, brake and phosphate ester systems, and outdoor equipment.
