This o-ring is supplied in AS568-359 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A measuring an inside diameter of 5.725 in (145.42 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.145 in (156.08 mm), catalogued under part number E70359. It provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

As a material, EPDM (EPR) is valued for excellent hot water and steam resistance, strong performance in outdoor and exposed installations. The compound resists phosphate ester hydraulic fluids, brake fluid, and ozone, UV and weathering. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). It should not be specified for service in aromatic hydrocarbons or petroleum oils and fuels.
