Part number E3X36.2 is a black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 36.2 mm (1.425 in), a cross section of 3 mm (0.118 in), and an outside diameter of 42.2 mm (1.66 in). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, EPDM (EPR) is valued for good electrical insulating characteristics, outstanding weather, ozone and sunlight resistance. This material stands up to ozone, UV and weathering, water and steam, and brake fluid. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C) in continuous service.
