-422 BLACK EPDM 70D O-RING

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-422 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A measuring an inside diameter of 4.1 in (104.14 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.65 in (118.11 mm), catalogued under part number E70422. It provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

It resists ozone, UV and weathering, dilute acids and alkalis, and ketones. EPDM (EPR) is specified for very good flexibility at low temperature and good electrical insulating characteristics. The material carries a published service range of -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). It is not the right choice where mineral oil-based lubricants or aromatic hydrocarbons are present.

It sees regular use in water and steam systems, potable water applications, and HVAC and refrigeration.
