The E70427 is an AS568-427 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 4.725 in (120.02 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.275 in (133.99 mm). This o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

EPDM (EPR) offers strong performance in outdoor and exposed installations, excellent hot water and steam resistance. It resists dilute acids and alkalis, phosphate ester hydraulic fluids, and brake fluid. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C) in continuous service. Exposure to aromatic hydrocarbons or petroleum oils and fuels will shorten service life.

Typical settings include brake and phosphate ester systems, potable water applications, and outdoor equipment.
