-438 BLACK EPDM 70D O-RING

APG stocks the E70438, an AS568-438 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 6.225 in (158.12 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.775 in (172.09 mm). An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

EPDM (EPR) is valued for very good flexibility at low temperature, outstanding weather, ozone and sunlight resistance. The compound resists phosphate ester hydraulic fluids, water and steam, and brake fluid. The material carries a published service range of -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). Exposure to petroleum oils and fuels or aromatic hydrocarbons will shorten service life.

Maintenance and OEM teams specify it across potable water applications, solar and roofing assemblies, and HVAC and refrigeration.
