-446 BLACK EPDM 70D O-RING

Ordered as E70446, this is an AS568-446 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 8.475 in (215.27 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 9.025 in (229.24 mm). The o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

As a material, EPDM (EPR) is widely chosen for good electrical insulating characteristics, outstanding weather, ozone and sunlight resistance. The compound resists ketones, brake fluid, and dilute acids and alkalis. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). It is not the right choice where mineral oil-based lubricants or aromatic hydrocarbons are present.

Common environments for this compound include solar and roofing assemblies, HVAC and refrigeration, and brake and phosphate ester systems.
