-462 BLACK EPDM 70D O-RING

The E70462 is an AS568-462 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 16.455 in (417.96 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 17.005 in (431.93 mm). This o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

EPDM (EPR) is specified here for strong performance in outdoor and exposed installations, very good flexibility at low temperature. The material holds up against ozone, UV and weathering, phosphate ester hydraulic fluids, and dilute acids and alkalis. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C) in continuous service. Exposure to mineral oil-based lubricants or aromatic hydrocarbons will shorten service life.
