-470 BLACK EPDM 70D O-RING

Ordered as E70470, this is an AS568-470 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 20.955 in (532.26 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 21.505 in (546.23 mm). The o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

This material stands up to ozone, UV and weathering, dilute acids and alkalis, and water and steam. EPDM (EPR) is specified for very good flexibility at low temperature and good electrical insulating characteristics. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C) in continuous service. Applications involving petroleum oils and fuels or aromatic hydrocarbons call for a different compound.
