This o-ring is supplied in black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A supplied with an inside diameter of 49.2 mm (1.937 in), a cross section of 5.7 mm (0.224 in), and an outside diameter of 60.6 mm (2.39 in), catalogued under part number E5.7X49.2. It seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

EPDM (EPR) is specified here for excellent hot water and steam resistance, good electrical insulating characteristics. It resists dilute acids and alkalis, brake fluid, and phosphate ester hydraulic fluids. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 300°F (148.9°C).
