E5.7X499.3 is a black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 499.3 mm (19.657 in), a cross section of 5.7 mm (0.224 in), and an outside diameter of 510.7 mm (20.11 in). In service, this o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies. The catalog record notes: Metric O-RING, JIS G500.

The material holds up against water and steam, phosphate ester hydraulic fluids, and ketones. That behavior comes from the compound itself: EPDM (EPR) offers good electrical insulating characteristics and very good flexibility at low temperature. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C).

It sees regular use in solar and roofing assemblies, HVAC and refrigeration, and brake and phosphate ester systems.
