Ordered as E2X5, this is a black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 5 mm (0.197 in), a cross section of 2 mm (0.079 in), and an outside diameter of 9 mm (0.35 in). The o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

This material stands up to ketones, dilute acids and alkalis, and phosphate ester hydraulic fluids. That behavior comes from the compound itself: EPDM (EPR) is specified for outstanding weather, ozone and sunlight resistance, good electrical insulating characteristics. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). It should not be specified for service in mineral oil-based lubricants or aromatic hydrocarbons.
