Ordered as E1.5X7.5, this is a black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 7.5 mm (0.295 in), a cross section of 1.5 mm (0.059 in), and an outside diameter of 10.5 mm (0.41 in). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces. The catalog record notes: Metric O-RING, JIS S8.

EPDM (EPR) is specified for very good flexibility at low temperature, strong performance in outdoor and exposed installations. It resists water and steam, brake fluid, and dilute acids and alkalis. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). It should not be specified for service in petroleum oils and fuels or mineral oil-based lubricants.
