Part number E2.4X7.6 is a black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 7.6 mm (0.299 in), a cross section of 2.4 mm (0.094 in), and an outside diameter of 12.4 mm (0.49 in). An o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

As a material, EPDM (EPR) delivers excellent hot water and steam resistance, very good flexibility at low temperature. The compound resists brake fluid, dilute acids and alkalis, and water and steam. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). Applications involving mineral oil-based lubricants or petroleum oils and fuels call for a different compound.
