Part number E2.5X78 is a black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 78 mm (3.071 in), a cross section of 2.5 mm (0.098 in), and an outside diameter of 83 mm (3.27 in). An o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

EPDM (EPR) is specified here for outstanding weather, ozone and sunlight resistance, excellent hot water and steam resistance. The compound resists brake fluid, ketones, and dilute acids and alkalis. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). It is not the right choice where aromatic hydrocarbons or petroleum oils and fuels are present.
