Ordered as E3X84.5, this is a black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 84.5 mm (3.327 in), a cross section of 3 mm (0.118 in), and an outside diameter of 90.5 mm (3.56 in). The o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

As a material, EPDM (EPR) delivers very good flexibility at low temperature, excellent hot water and steam resistance. The compound resists dilute acids and alkalis, ozone, UV and weathering, and ketones. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 300°F (148.9°C). Applications involving aromatic hydrocarbons or mineral oil-based lubricants call for a different compound.
