Ordered as E70909, this is an AS568-909 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 0.706 in (17.93 mm), a cross section of 0.097 in (2.46 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.9 in (22.86 mm). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Expect good resistance to phosphate ester hydraulic fluids, dilute acids and alkalis, and water and steam. That behavior comes from the compound itself: EPDM (EPR) offers good electrical insulating characteristics, strong performance in outdoor and exposed installations. The material carries a published service range of -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). Exposure to aromatic hydrocarbons or mineral oil-based lubricants will shorten service life.
