Ordered as E80PC117, this is an AS568-117 black EPDM (EPR) 80 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 0.799 in (20.29 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.005 in (25.53 mm). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

It resists dilute acids and alkalis, brake fluid, and water and steam. EPDM (EPR) is known for excellent hot water and steam resistance, outstanding weather, ozone and sunlight resistance. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). Applications involving petroleum oils and fuels or mineral oil-based lubricants call for a different compound.

Typical settings include outdoor equipment, brake and phosphate ester systems, and solar and roofing assemblies.
