This o-ring is supplied in AS568-220 black EPDM (EPR) 80 Shore A with an inside diameter of 1.359 in (34.52 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.637 in (41.58 mm), catalogued under part number E80PC220. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Expect good resistance to dilute acids and alkalis, brake fluid, and ketones. That behavior comes from the compound itself: EPDM (EPR) offers outstanding weather, ozone and sunlight resistance, strong performance in outdoor and exposed installations. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 300°F (148.9°C). Applications involving petroleum oils and fuels or aromatic hydrocarbons call for a different compound.

It sees regular use in solar and roofing assemblies, water and steam systems, and outdoor equipment.
