As a material, EPDM (EPR) is known for excellent hot water and steam resistance, outstanding weather, ozone and sunlight resistance. The material holds up against ozone, UV and weathering, ketones, and brake fluid. The material carries a published service range of -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). It should not be specified for service in aromatic hydrocarbons or petroleum oils and fuels.
