E80PC229 is an AS568-229 black EPDM (EPR) 80 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 2.359 in (59.92 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.637 in (66.98 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

EPDM (EPR) is widely chosen for good electrical insulating characteristics, strong performance in outdoor and exposed installations. This material stands up to ozone, UV and weathering, brake fluid, and water and steam. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). Applications involving petroleum oils and fuels or aromatic hydrocarbons call for a different compound.
