Ordered as E80PC235, this is an AS568-235 black EPDM (EPR) 80 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 3.109 in (78.97 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.387 in (86.03 mm). The o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

EPDM (EPR) offers outstanding weather, ozone and sunlight resistance, very good flexibility at low temperature. The compound resists ketones, dilute acids and alkalis, and phosphate ester hydraulic fluids. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). Applications involving aromatic hydrocarbons or petroleum oils and fuels call for a different compound.

It sees regular use in outdoor equipment, brake and phosphate ester systems, and water and steam systems.
