Part number E80PC428 is an AS568-428 black EPDM (EPR) 80 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 4.85 in (123.19 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.4 in (137.16 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, EPDM (EPR) delivers excellent hot water and steam resistance, good electrical insulating characteristics. Expect good resistance to ozone, UV and weathering, ketones, and brake fluid. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). It should not be specified for service in mineral oil-based lubricants or aromatic hydrocarbons.

Typical settings include water and steam systems, outdoor equipment, and potable water applications.
