-043 BLACK EPDM 80D O-RING

Ordered as E80PC043, this is an AS568-043 black EPDM (EPR) 80 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 3.489 in (88.62 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.629 in (92.18 mm). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

The compound resists water and steam, brake fluid, and phosphate ester hydraulic fluids. That behavior comes from the compound itself: EPDM (EPR) is valued for excellent hot water and steam resistance, very good flexibility at low temperature. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where mineral oil-based lubricants or aromatic hydrocarbons are present.

It sees regular use in solar and roofing assemblies, HVAC and refrigeration, and outdoor equipment.
