Part number E80PC225 is an AS568-225 black EPDM (EPR) 80 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 1.859 in (47.22 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.137 in (54.28 mm). An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

EPDM (EPR) is specified here for outstanding weather, ozone and sunlight resistance, very good flexibility at low temperature. It resists brake fluid, ketones, and ozone, UV and weathering. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). It is not the right choice where petroleum oils and fuels or mineral oil-based lubricants are present.

It sees regular use in water and steam systems, outdoor equipment, and potable water applications.
