This material stands up to phosphate ester hydraulic fluids, ozone, UV and weathering, and ketones. EPDM (EPR) is specified for very good flexibility at low temperature, excellent hot water and steam resistance. The material carries a published service range of -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). It should not be specified for service in aromatic hydrocarbons or mineral oil-based lubricants.

Typical settings include potable water applications, brake and phosphate ester systems, and solar and roofing assemblies.
