-278 BLACK EPDM 80D O-RING

APG stocks the E80PC278, an AS568-278 black EPDM (EPR) 80 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 11.984 in (304.39 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 12.262 in (311.45 mm). An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

As a material, EPDM (EPR) is known for excellent hot water and steam resistance, good electrical insulating characteristics. It resists dilute acids and alkalis, phosphate ester hydraulic fluids, and ketones. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). It is not the right choice where aromatic hydrocarbons or petroleum oils and fuels are present.

It sees regular use in potable water applications, brake and phosphate ester systems, and solar and roofing assemblies.
