This o-ring is supplied in AS568-343 black EPDM (EPR) 80 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 3.725 in (94.62 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.145 in (105.28 mm), catalogued under part number E80PC343. It seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, EPDM (EPR) offers very good flexibility at low temperature, excellent hot water and steam resistance. Expect good resistance to brake fluid, ketones, and dilute acids and alkalis. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 300°F (148.9°C). Applications involving petroleum oils and fuels or aromatic hydrocarbons call for a different compound.
