This o-ring is supplied in AS568-429 black EPDM (EPR) 80 Shore A supplied with an inside diameter of 4.975 in (126.37 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.525 in (140.34 mm), catalogued under part number E80PC429. It compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

Expect good resistance to ozone, UV and weathering, phosphate ester hydraulic fluids, and dilute acids and alkalis. EPDM (EPR) is widely chosen for excellent hot water and steam resistance, outstanding weather, ozone and sunlight resistance. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 300°F (148.9°C). Applications involving aromatic hydrocarbons or petroleum oils and fuels call for a different compound.
