-451 BLACK EPDM 80D O-RING

The E80PC451 is an AS568-451 black EPDM (EPR) 80 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 10.975 in (278.77 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 11.525 in (292.74 mm). This o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

EPDM (EPR) is specified here for very good flexibility at low temperature, outstanding weather, ozone and sunlight resistance. It resists ozone, UV and weathering, brake fluid, and ketones. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). Applications involving mineral oil-based lubricants or aromatic hydrocarbons call for a different compound.

Common environments for this compound include potable water applications, water and steam systems, and solar and roofing assemblies.
