The o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

It resists water and steam, ketones, and phosphate ester hydraulic fluids. EPDM (EPR) offers outstanding weather, ozone and sunlight resistance, excellent hot water and steam resistance. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 300°F (148.9°C). Exposure to petroleum oils and fuels or mineral oil-based lubricants will shorten service life.
