V3.5X78 is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 78 mm (3.071 in), a cross section of 3.5 mm (0.138 in), and an outside diameter of 85 mm (3.35 in). In service, this o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for outstanding high-temperature capability and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. This material stands up to chlorinated solvents, engine and transmission fluids, and aromatic hydrocarbons. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving hot water and steam or low-molecular-weight organic acids call for a different compound.
