Ordered as V70404, this is an AS568-404 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 1.85 in (46.99 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.4 in (60.96 mm). The o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and very low compression set at elevated temperature. It resists chlorinated solvents, many acids, and engine and transmission fluids. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in amines or ketones and esters.
