An o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

Expect good resistance to engine and transmission fluids, many acids, and petroleum oils and fuels. Viton® (FKM) delivers the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit and outstanding high-temperature capability. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where ketones and esters or hot water and steam are present.
