This o-ring is supplied in AS568-040 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 2.864 in (72.75 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.004 in (76.3 mm), catalogued under part number V70040. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Expect good resistance to aggressive chemicals, petroleum oils and fuels, and engine and transmission fluids. Viton® (FKM) is valued for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where hot water and steam or amines are present.
